Michele Carosi serves as the CFO at the New Jersey School Insurance Group (NJSIG), where she is dedicated to the mission of “keeping more dollars in NJ classrooms.” A University of Scranton alumni with a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA from Temple University, Michele has built a significant portion of her career in public service, focusing on financial strategies that support educational institutions in New Jersey. Additionally, Michele has a burgeoning interest in real estate, helping friends and family discover both listed and off-market homes, and plans to pursue this passion more fully after her retirement.

Family is at the heart of Michele’s life; she enjoys spending all her free time with her two adult daughters, two adult stepdaughters, a grandson, and her “fur baby.” To unwind, Michele opts to unplug through long walks, workouts, yoga and meditation, or simply relaxing on the beach. Despite her many professional accomplishments, Michele humorously notes her athletic incoordination, often the family joke, as she has tried and struggled with various sports, bringing a light-hearted moment to family gatherings.

Michele is also a strong advocate for women, offering support and mentorship, aiding local schools, and making a positive impact on her community. She has recently transitioned her residence to Point Pleasant Boro, looking to engage more deeply with her new local community and make meaningful connections through her involvement in the Female Forward Alliance (FFA). Michele is drawn to FFA’s commitment to community betterment, focusing on children’s well-being, supporting local schools, and providing essential mentorship.
